About

Laure Kasiers is a freelance textile designer based in Brussels.
Following her textile design studies in “La Cambre”, she is now pursuing the development of an approach in the furnishing domain which has led her to create finished objects like carpets, for instance.

She is able to alter the purpose of materials thanks to the strong focus she puts on their selection, promoting the use of technical materials or production scrap for example.

She addresses through research on structures the concept of mobility —thanks to junctions— and the concept of contrast —thanks to careful selection of materials and colours. Her production is characterised by thickness and high density, offering tactile and sensitive relationships and providing comfort and warmth.

Her creations have led her to collaborate with a number of companies, notably Limited Edition, a carpet manufacturer. She is excited by diversity and open to all types of project in the arena of textile, design and indoor architecture.
